I never knew this tool existed until recently! I love it but only 4 stars because it doesn't always work right away. Not sure why the first burn was spot on but after that it takes longer or I have to stop put it aside and come back to it. I try to clean off the tip but sometimes that's impossible. Patiences is my suggestion with this tool and seeing as I have none it gets a bit hairy at my house lol.

The battery (the handle where I held it) turned very hot right after when I began to press the button. And it didn't do its job well. If yours is good, maybe I just get a malfunctioned one. Returned it and used a lighter instead.

I love this tool. It's one of those things that are always out on the beading desk. Much better than scissors (but DO be careful not to burn out any crucial beading threads).

First it's battery opperated so don't expect it to have torque like a 120v saw. But I used it on a trim job and it only bogged down once as the battery was petering out. I have 2 batteries and it is a strong cutting saw when battery is charged. It cut 2x4's cleanly and consistantly. I've used other hand saws and find the safety switch difficult to operate while trying to pull the trigger. But not this saw. My thumb can easily disengage the safety switch and operate the saw. It's balanced and very useful in my work. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Good for a quick cut. Not a lot of power. Good for plywood and inch boards. Will work on 2 inch boards but goes through battery fast.

I got this for a friend for Xmas, but have also gotten to use it.
In the context of small, battery powered circular saws, this is a Cadillac.
It's a lot smoother than my smaller 5.5" bladed Ryobi saw (tho the Ryobi still more than holds its own).
Recommended for anyone who has a DeWalt collection, that does not include this piece, or anyone who wants to start one.
