5.0 out of 5 stars So Far So Good, April 13, 2015

Purchased this for power sanding on a wood lathe. So far it's great for that purpose. The ergonomics are good, the variable speed works well, and it has plenty of power for the job (which isn't saying much). A keyless chuck would have been nice, but the chuck key has a keeper built into the power cord where the cord enters the drill, and it stays put during use, so it's not too bad. Definitely a 5 star for the price for now - we'll see how long it lasts. If the motor goes, ok, sanding duty can be hard on these motors, but if the gear train goes, the rating gets dropped a lot.

I ordered this Neiko close quarter drill to do two small projects and then possibly use it on a 2 inch disc sander to remove some rust on old lawn chair. But this drill is a lot bigger in diameter and a lot heavier and the sales picture showed. Under spec. weight and physical size were not listed. I will have to use to hands to drill the holes in my projects, but to do much 1 handed work I don't think I can do it. Maybe at 25 I could but at 74 the weight and size will make it difficult.

It's not a right angle drill, but it's close. I used it to get into some tight spots pulling out my car exhaust pipes. It's really powerful which is great. No problem drilling out bolts. And the vari speed trigger is very nice. No complaints at all. It's a drill - only a lot more compact. For the price I think it's a great deal. I'd give it 5 stars, but I'd prefer a true right angle. Even with that, I got all my tight space jobs done.
